Moderately Successful Self-Advocacy Leads to Effective Resolution of Library Fine Issue
I talked her down to 30 bucks. I was shooting for 20, but she wasn't having it. I have to say, it feels great to have that taken care of, and now I don't have to avoid the library anymore. A weight has been lifted. Which is more than my dear husband can say.

Yes, Anna's dear husband, how fast can YOU talk? Come on, turn on the charm, do a little sweet talk and happy dance. Think of how much better you will feel without the guilt....
I have a pretty substantial student loan (I call it my "folly fine") do you think you can use some smooth talk and get them to cut it down a couple thou? I would be totally happy to take you out for dinner if you can work some charm on the people at Wells Fargo for me.
