Student Accepted into Family Law Clinic

I found out today that I was accepted into the family law clinic for fall semester. This is super sweet! It will be a huge time commitment, but it means I'll be certified as a student attorney in the fall, and will be able to represent people in court. Mostly the clinic helps low-income women, often victims of domestic abuse (sounds like they do a lot of TROs (Temporary Restraining Orders)). Summra got accepted in the family law clinic, too. I am pretty certain I DON'T want to be a family lawyer (there are a lot of messy situations I just don't want to get involved in), but there is a lot of interplay between family and immigration law and it will be helpful to have knowledge of both.

Anna, that is so great! Even if you don't go into it, it sounds like you will be doing important and meaningful work.

Congratulations! Sounds like that is going to make for a challenging fall semester, but I bet it will be well worth the experience. You will be everyone's fave lawyer.

You realize that I find out everything that's going on in your life from your blog...right?

Yea you! That's awesome!

I don't think you can take the Myers Briggs online, because people have to be certified to administer it, but I know you can go over to Eddy Hall and take it as a student for a small fee.

Congrats Anna! If you come across any creative ways to abuse husbands in your new position, be sure and pass the ways on...
