New Kitty Might Be Eaten Alive
So, we're keeping Car and The Wiz away from each other for awhile on advice from LA. An article Shad read said we should feed them close to each other (on either side of the door) so they can get used to each others' presence. Car, as expected, is PISSED. She's been growling, pacing, and making all sorts of threatening sounds that I've never heard before. The Wiz isn't quite sure what to make of it. She's such a sweet kitty. So she stands on the dinning room side of the door, quietly watching while Car reaches her little paws under the door and growls and moans. Every once in a while The Wiz would turn her head to look at me as if to say "WTF, mate?" and then turn back. I wonder how long we'll have to keep them separated?

Ok, now I am scared for the sweet little newcomer. I don't think she would even know HOW to kick Car's menacing butt if she had to. Mr. Pie was the sweet one with Trouble, just wanted to be buddies from the start and Trouble never chilled out. Within the first month of being together alone she ripped his second eyelid and permantly scarred him - which is slightly better than blinding him. She hated him *that* much. Eventually, he lost a lot of weight and was a sad and changed cat - no joke...until we got his new girlfriend Izzy who brought his joy and doesn't let anyone mess with "her" man. You might have to keep those two split up for longer than a week. You might eventually find The Wiz a safe home so she doesn't get killed. :(
The Wiz kid better start living up to her name and figure out what Car's deal is...
oh did you know also that you can drop an email right into Tasks? (I am obbsessed) So if someone emails you something to do with alot of details, you can just drag the email to tasks and it will create a task for you
BRILLIANT!
Last night I heard them grumbling to each other under the door for so long I decided to get up and check it out. Car was making her threatening grumbly sounds, The Wiz was making some sounds back, but sitting there not moving, just watching Car swipe at her (Car kept reaching her little paw under the door). Suddenly The Wiz used her little paw to reach under the door and strike at Car, it was such a quick gesture I was shocked. There was a little yelp, The Wiz jumped back, and things went quiet. I'm sure they started up again later, but I went back to sleep. My point is that I was really shocked (and impressed) to see The Wiz strike back like that. But Car is still going to eat her alive, the first chance she gets.
if it doesn't work out and they keep fighting you can always give me The Wiz. I've wanted cats for forever and I need a really friendly, people cat. You're probably already super-attached.

Um, Anna, I don't want to read things into your words, but it sounds like you're somewhat proud that Car might be making dinner out of The Wiz. I'm only saying this because I've seen you proudly gazing at Car while's gnawing away at someone's hand. It seems like you're oddly proud of her primal talents.
Errr.....Summra might be on to something. The first time Anna came over to our house, one of our cats walked up to her to check her out and be friends. Anna was all "Ick. I am NOT a cat person. They creep me out". So what does she do? 5 or so months later she hunts out worlds most non-cat like cat I have ever met. It's almost as if Anna could somehow sense that Car was really part wolverine, part saber-toothed tiger. Could these anti-cat tendencies have made Car more attractive to our Uglyjuice author? I dunno but something tells me there just *might* be a connection.
