A national hero and internationally revered political voice for the oppressed, "Don Rafa" has dedicated his entire life to the liberation of Puerto Rico. He served 25 years in U.S. prisons for his role in the struggle for Puerto Rican independence from US colonialism and the last 25 years furthering that struggle, linking it in solidarity with the working people of Cuban revolution, the working people of Venezuela, and liberation movements globally.
