Tumbleweeds Blow Through Blog Town

Sorry for the silence, my friends. I'm in exams right now and am otherwise navigating a bit of a rocky patch. I'm hoping to bounce back soon.

Not much is new anyway. We had a big ol' party at our place last Friday. Shad posted some pics on the BTA blog. It was a fun time and we even decorated our tropical tree--whatever it's called, mass cane?--with lights and pearls. The fake trial went well. It was super fun, and we won. I attribute our victory to Greta and Geoff's dad, who were the best fake witnesses ever, and also to our coordinating outfits (Geoff was kind enough to wear a pink tie to match my suit. I really think the jury dug it.). My other exams were fine. Except for the Federal Courts 24-hour take-home exam, which was a real bear.

After tomorrow's exam I will be 5/6 done with law school! Yay! I have a very distinct memory of the final sixth of the one and only marathon I ever ran/ever will run, and it was brutal, painful, and lasted much longer than it should have. At the time I promised myself that if I just kept putting one foot in front of the other, I would eventually reach the end and I would never have to do it again. I hope the final stretch of school will be better and faster than that. And I will never have to do it again.

Hang in there dearest UJ, you are the tops and everyone knows it except you! I'll be at your finish line with pasties and that perfect bottle of cheap red wine.

You are so good at everything you do, power onward sweet friend, it's almost done! By the way, the BTA party was FANTASTIC. I haven't eaten that well in a very long time. Or drank that much either. Sorry if I drooled on you, or anything potentially even more embarrassing.
