Grandma Delights with Juicy Treasure

Shad's grandma gave me this incredible antique cameo. She thinks it's ugly. I think she's insane. I adore it. I tried to wear it every day this week but I ran out of the skanky low-cut shirts required to properly display such a gem.

I really enjoyed Nate's play last night. Donn was at a friend's gallery show in the same building so he joined us. The show looked at Christopher Isherwood's writing in a really neat way, juxtaposing scenes from his life with readings from his books. It was unique and engaging. The dialogue suffered a bit, I thought, from the improvisational nature of the scenes, and it was kind of short. We didn't stick around for the question-and-answer session because my allergies are making it hard for me to breathe, but it would have been fun to talk with the creators about the show.

I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I'm about to go for a walk and then to the coffeeshop to read. We'll probably swing by 24-Hour Comics Day at some point, but otherwise, we're just chillin at home.
