Strange Landscape Discovered in West Central United States

Can anyone explain this? The picture is taken as we were flying over--I think--southern Colorado-ish? It's super weird. This landscape extended for miles and miles and miles. The circles are so perfectly circular, and the half-circles so perfectly halved...kinda spooky?

Its central pivot irrigation. (Thank my Unlce Dave for teaching me that one when I was five and we took Amtrak to California.)

The farmers in this area all have one leg slightly shorter than the other, causing them all to walk in circular patterns. safaye01@hotmail
